The Projet Gorille Fernan-Vaz (PGFV) is a non-governmental association based in the Fernan-Vaz lagoon just north of Loango national park in Gabon.

This website aims to promote awareness on the illegal bush meat and great-ape pet trades that are, added to habitat loss and emerging diseases, contributing to the imminent decimation of great-apes worldwide.

Our ultimate goal is to contribute to the protection and conservation of wild great-apes and their forest habitat, respectively.
