We were in Baja California and looking for mobula rays. We had seen several groups near the coast but always in low visibility. So we decided to head at sea, hoping for deeper, bluer waters.
After a while we saw what we were hoping for, mobulas breaching out of the water. We got closed and it was a large group. We got in quietly, hoping that they would stay near the surface. And they did. It was fascinating to watch them. they were swimming in union. Picture taken in 2022.
